Instead of passively listening to a lecture or a presentation, participants actively engage in an interactive, creative and fun costume-made workshop, where all inputs are welcomed and the outcome is defined and agreed by the participants.
Lego® Serious Play®
The world and companies are facing complex unprecedented challenges and need new innovative & creative ways to approach technological, environmental, social, organizational and political changes. Systemic global solutions can only be developed through democratic multidisciplinary cooperation and processes. We need to deeply understand the factors that affect our organizations; which in complex adaptive systems, how a single alteration might change the entire system, is hard to grasp.
Lego® Serious Play® allows in a fun way to understand complexity, unravel the important, spark creativity and provide the outputs needed to move forward. It provides the method and tools to make the abstract understandable and reachable for everyone involved.
The brick
The Lego® brick is a global language which unlocks human potential. It is a language for systemic creativity. That is why, brick by brick, participants of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® workshops leave with skills to communicate more effectively, to engage their imagination more readily, and to approach their work with increased confidence, commitment and insight.
The method
The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method is a facilitated meeting, communication and problem-solving process in which participants are led through a series of questions, probing deeper and deeper into the subject. Each participant builds his or her own 3D LEGO® model in response to the facilitator’s questions using specially selected LEGO® elements. These 3D models serve as a basis for group discussion, knowledge sharing, problem solving and decision making. The method serves as a shared language regardless of culture or position. It is also a method that requires a trained LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator.
